The state income which was Rs.62 thousand crores in 2014-15 has increased to Rs.84 thousand crores by 2021 due to the efforts of the government. The per capita income which was Rs. 24 lakhs at the time of formation of the state has reached Rs. 3.17 lakhs by 2022-23.
Telangana has grown as a haven for investments, a destination for world-class companies and a top state in the IT sector. It has gained worldwide appreciation for environmental protection and greening. International investments are pouring into the state with the policies of the government.

QState Governor Tamilisai praised that Telangana has set an example for the entire country by achieving an integrated and comprehensive development in this field as well. “The government has faced many challenges to move forward from the unfathomable situation. Obscurities and obstacles are overcome. In a short period of eight and a half years, Telangana has achieved amazing achievements’, he said. The budget meetings of the Telangana Legislative Assembly and Council began on Friday. Governor Tamilisai addressed both the houses. She explained that due to CM KCR’s governance efficiency, continuous efforts of public representatives, dedication of government staff and people’s blessings, Telangana has emerged as the strongest economic power and leader in welfare and development. He said that the government has doubled development in all sectors and increased investments. He said that the discussion on Telangana development model is going on all over the country.
Cultivation of crores of acres soon…
Tamilisai said the state has written a new history in Indian agriculture sector with great stabilization. “The Kaleswaram project, which was completed in three and a half years, attracted the attention of the world. Cultivation has prospered with continuous electricity, restoration of ponds with Mission Kakatiya, construction of pending projects, construction of new projects and check dams. 73.33 lakh acres have water facility. The goal of irrigating more than one crore acres will be realized soon.
Important to public health
NITI Aayog has hailed Telangana as third among the states providing the best medical services in the country. KCR Kit, Nutrition Kit, Arogya Lakshmi and other schemes have achieved remarkable progress in various health indices. Hyderabad city is building four super specialty hospitals on all sides. 12 new medical colleges have been opened in the state… nine more will be opened soon.
Welfare of communities
Dalitbandhu is providing Rs.10 lakhs to each Dalit family and contributing to their upliftment. All communities are getting help with schemes such as increase in reservation for STs to 10 percent, distribution of sheep units, insurance for farmers, Shadi Mubarak, Kalyana Lakshmi etc. The number of BC Gurukuls in the state has reached 310. Students are getting quality education. Mana Uru is developing schools in three phases with Rs.7,289 crores under Mana Badi.
Replacement of jobs
Since the formation of the state till 2022, we have filled 1,41,735 jobs in government departments. Another 80 thousand jobs are being recruited. Government has regularized contract employees. We have brought a new law for locality in jobs. We are implementing 33 percent reservation for women in civil police jobs. We have achieved revolutionary progress through TS IPass. In eight and a half years, we have mobilized investments of Rs. 3.31 lakh crores in industrial and IT sectors. We have achieved 140 percent growth in IT job placements.

New districts were formed as part of administrative decentralization and reforms. The government has built all the offices with all the infrastructure at one place in the district center. It is commendable to name Ambedkar for the secretariat which is being built with international standards. A 125 feet tall statue of Ambedkar is being erected to reflect his stature. Civil life is going on peacefully through strong measures to maintain law and order. Telangana is leading in crime control with the highest number of 9.8 lakh CC cameras in the country. The government is moving fast as a twin of welfare and development. Governor Tamilisai explained that the government will move ahead with this spirit and commitment.

Members of Bharasa wore pink, Congress members wore tricolor, BJP members wore saffron scarves and Majlis members wore sherwanis to the Ubhaya Sabha meeting. Congress MLA Jaggareddy attended with a t-shirt. MLC Kadiam Srihari draped a pink scarf on Minister Errabelli as he entered the House. They joked that they are inviting him to their party.
* The historic Rythubandhu scheme undertaken by the Telangana government has received worldwide appreciation. The United Nations has praised this scheme on the world stage for providing Rs.65 thousand crores under investment to 65 lakh people like nowhere else in the country. Rythu Bima scheme is nowhere in the world. Through these, the government has shown its sincerity towards the welfare of the farmers.
* In 2014-15, the production of paddy was 68.17 lakh tonnes and it has reached 2.02 crore tonnes so far. Telangana has become a granary for the country. The share of agriculture in the state’s GDP has reached 18.2 percent.
* The Telangana villages which were once abandoned have changed their appearance and today they are flourishing with the highest standard of living. 100 percent of the villages are supplying clean and safe water to every house for free.
* Telangana, which was once in the dark due to power cuts, is becoming a state with 24-hour electricity supply due to the unremitting efforts of the government. The per capita electricity consumption was 1,356 units in 2014-15 and it has increased to 2,126 units by 2021-22.

Today, Hyderabad: CM KCR, Legislative President Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy welcomed Governor Tamilisai who came to the Legislative Assembly after almost two years to address both the Houses. Her speech went smoothly in the meeting of the two houses, which started amid excitement on Friday. As per the governor’s instructions, the government prepared a 20-page speech text and she read it verbatim. The speech went on for about 40 minutes with praises and books on the state government. The governor started his speech with Kaloji’s poem, ‘Birth is yours, death is yours.. Batukanta is the country’s.’ Poet Dasarathi concluded his speech by reading a stanza from a poem saying, ‘A time that does not appear dark and bright. Later, CM KCR himself sent her away. The meetings were adjourned to Saturday.
