Making use of the 50 per cent discount on traffic fine payments,the city police on fourth day collected a total fine 7.45 crore and resolved 2.59 lakhs cases on the fourth day since the launch .
MN Anucheth,Joint commissioner of Police,Traffic,said that since the launch,a total of 14 lakhs cases resolved and a total of Rs.42 crores ,collected .
Elaborating on the scheme,MA Saleem,Special commissioner,Traffic,said that idea is to help to clear a whopping 1.8 crores violations pending since 2019.
This is also help the motorists to clear the cases with special offers.There were different modes where the payment can be made and the motorists have also option of checking their violations at the officials website of the BTP and also verify with the videos with the violations.
Any disputes they can approach the traffic police to resolve the issue and clear their violations ,he added .
Referring to fake number plate menace,the traffic department is tracking down the violators and criminal action would be initiated against them he added.
