Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was seen in a blue jacket as he came to the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday as part of the budget meetings of the Parliament. Usually Modi is seen in such attire, isn’t it? However, this jacket is truly unique. It is made from recycled plastic bottles.

It is known that Prime Minister Modi participated in the inaugural program of ‘India Energy Week 2023’ held at Bangalore on Monday. In that program, Indian Oil Corporation presented a rare gift to the Prime Minister. Modi was gifted a blue jacket made from recycled PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) bottles. The Prime Minister came to Parliament wearing that jacket on Wednesday.

It is known that Prime Minister Modi has always been at the forefront of turning the fight against climate change into a public movement. In the middle of Mahabalipuram, the Prime Minister himself cleaned the beach with a broom and called upon the people to keep the environment clean. And Haritha gave a message with the latest ‘Blue Jacket’. The Modi government, which has taken ‘green growth’ seriously, recently launched the National Green Hydrogen Mission with a budget of Rs.19,700 crore. Its main objective is to reduce carbon emissions and grow with green energy. Further, the government, which has included ‘green growth’ as one of its seven priorities in the recently announced central budget, has allocated Rs.35 thousand crores for energy transformation.
