Students of St.Claret College were in Yesvantpur Railway Station today to view the model of Yesvantpur Station Redevelopment.
This was a part of their educational visit.The students, lead by their Professor Dr.Shivamurugan,were briefed about the design,architecture,advantages and benefits of redevelopment of the Station by Station Staff.The students viewed the model with awe and inquisitiveness.
Yesvantpur Railway Station is being redeveloped as a world class terminal at a cost of Rs.380 crores with state-of the-art facilities.
The redeveloped station will have futuristic architecture, green building and facilities that ensure comfortable,convenient and enjoyable rail travel experience to every passenger.
The redeveloped Station is planned support the multi-modal transport hub proposed to be developed in Bengaluru.
With separate drop and pickup points the station will be designed to avoid crowding/congestion.
Smt.Kusuma Hariprasad,Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Admin) informed that the educational visits of this kind will enable the students generation to know about the latest developments taking place in modernization of Railway Stations.
She also informed that students of Engineering and architecture can also make similar study visits in the coming days to enhance their technical knowledge,as the redevelopment work progresses.
