CM Jagan performed Bhoomi Puja for construction of steel industry in Kadapa. JSW Group Chairman Sajjan Jindal participated in the Bhumi Puja along with the CM.
Cuddapah: Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy (CM Jagan) conducted Bhumi Puja for the construction of steel industry in YSR district. The CM laid the foundation stone along with Jindal Steel Chairman Sajjan Jindal. Later, Jagan examined the model of steel industry. Jindal explained the details of the industry to the CM.
Earlier, the state government had entered into an agreement with JSW Company for the construction of steel industry. At that time, the government decided to set up a steel industry at a cost of Rs 11,606 crore on 3,591.65 acres between Sunnapurallapalle – Pedda Dandluru villages of Jammalamadugu mandal.
The foundation stone for the establishment of this industry was first laid on June 10, 2007 by the then CM YS Rajasekhar Reddy and then on December 27, 2018 by the then CM Chandrababu Naidu. Later, CM Jagan laid the foundation stone once on December 23, 2019. It is noteworthy that Bhumi Puja is being performed once again today.
