he Bommanahalli police have registered a case against a Rowdy-Sheeter and his associate for taking a contract (Supari) to eliminate Bommanahalli constituency MLA Satish Reddy .
However police suspect that its a gimmick ahead of election.
Harish Babu,Personal assistant of the MLA approached the Bommanahalli police and filed a complaint that he got the information from his friend about Supari being paid to the rowdy to eliminate Satish Reddy.
Since there was no substance in the complaint,the police took the complaint under non cognizable report .
Babu later approached the court and filed a private complaint to get a direction to the police to register FIR .
Babu said that his friend identified as Chandru from Bommanahalli informed him that he got the information through his contact that Akash from Holalkere and notorious rowdy sheeter from Wilson garden identified as Naga,have taken Rs.2 Crore supari to eliminate MLA Satish Reddy.
Mr.Babu also submitted a copy of the audio conversation to substantiate his claim.
Reacting to the complaint,a senior police officer told reporters that based on the court direction,an FIR has been registered against Naga,Akash and others .
However the police termed it as mere speculation and used the information as gimmick to take undue advantage for the upcoming elections.
However the police have initiated investigations and trying to trace down Akash and Naga who are on the run.
The police have taken two people into custody and further investigating.
Reacting to incident Satish Reddy,said that it is a political motivated incident.Two persons have already been taken who are questioning him about their role and who paid the supari.
He further said that he brought it to the notice of Chief Minister and Home Minister,who offered him to enhance security cover.I refused as i am not scared and i am doing honest politics“he said .
