Bill Gates said that India has proved that it can solve big problems simultaneously even during crises. He said that the country has hope for the future. He said that he will visit India soon.

Washington: Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft, said that India gives hope for the future. He recently said in his blog ‘Gates Notes’ that the country has proved that it can solve big problems at the same time even when the world is facing many crises. It has been revealed that they are coming to India soon to examine the progress being made by innovators and experts in the fields of agriculture and climate change. On the other hand, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) shared Bill Gates’ comments on Twitter.

“With the right innovations and delivery mediums, the world can make progress on big problems at once. However, there are comments that time and money are not enough for this. But, India proved all these wrong. The country, which is going to become the most populous country in the world, has shown that it can face big challenges. Polio was eradicated. Stops the spread of HIV. Reduces poverty and infant mortality. Sanitation and financial services are accessible to all. There is no better proof than India’s remarkable progress. Overall, it gives hope for the future,’ said Bill Gates.

India has developed the world’s best approach to innovation and media to bring it to the masses. A vaccine against rotavirus, the cause of deadly diarrhea, has been produced in-house and distributed to the grassroots. By 2021, 83 percent of children have received rotavirus vaccines. These affordable vaccines are now being used in other countries,’ said Bill Gates. Scientists at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) have produced more than 10 percent higher yielding and drought tolerant varieties of hemp. The Gates Foundation has joined hands with the Central Government and CGIAR organizations for research here.

‘Like other countries… India also has limited resources. However.. proved how progress can be made. The country is in a better position in terms of food security for the people and incentives for the farmers. With the latest policies, government, private and philanthropic sectors’ mutual cooperation, development can be paved with limited resources. If we all work together we can fight climate change. At the same time, we can improve the world,” Bill Gates wrote in his blog.
