In a joint operations Officials of CCB with women and child development department and members of childline conducted surprise inspections across the city and rescued 55 people found begging at the traffic junctions.
As many as 140 teams formed to check on the racket of human trafficking for beggary and rescued three boys,three girls,22 women,18 children and seven men.
Senior officer told reporters,we suspect that the minor children carried by women are sedated and carried in their arms to create sympathy.
The rescued people have been handed over to the rescue and rehabilitation centre for further investigation to ascertain who all the children’s who were seen begging at junctions will be verified by a team of CCB officials.
