25-year-old BPO staffer was stabbed to death by her male friend for rejecting his marriage proposal in Murugeshpalya,JB Nagar on Tuesday evening.
Senior officer with other staff rushed to spot and after inspecting the crime scene said,The accused stabbed the victim multiple times,killing her on the spot .
He further said the deceased Leela Pavithra Nalamat, 25,a MSc graduate from Andhra Pradesh was working with the Omega health care service situated in Murugeshpalya palya while the accused Dinakar Banala,28,also from Andhra Pradesh and working in Logis health care services in Domlur.
The duo was in relationship for the past five years but recently their parents who get to know about this refused consent for the marriage citing caste difference .
Dinakar was upset and tried to pacify but failed to convince Leela.Enraged by this on tuesday he went to meet Leela at her work place called her outside on the pretext of talk and stabbed her multiple times killing her on the spot .
The JB Nagar police have registered a case of murder and further investigation is on.
