he world’s leading electronic manufacturing company Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn) is expected to make a huge investment in the State and around one lakh jobs are likely to be created.
An MOU was signed in the presence of the Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai here on Friday.
This is expected to generate one lakh jobs in the State. A 300 acres of land has been identified in Doddaballapur and Devanagalli taluks near Bengaluru International Airport.
The CM promised all the assistance and cooperation from the government. He said it was a matter of happiness that the world renowned company has come forward to invest in the State.
Karnataka has the maximum number of the technical educational institutions and recently theITIs were upgraded. Likewise, the GTTCs,polytechnic and engineering colleges which were providing quality education.With this the skilled manpower is being created.
The state has the semiconductor policy and the maximum number of R&D labs and research institutes of the world standard. Even this sector is opened for investment.
FauxConn Chairman Young Liu discussed with the CM a out investment in the State and also promised to look into investment in the semiconductor sector.
The Fauxconn is the world’s largest company in the manufacturing of the electronic goods.In 2022,it made a business turnover of NT 6 trillion dollars.
It stands in the 20th position among the country’s fortune 500 companies in the world.It got 173 campuses in 24 countries and mainly the company is into the manufacturing of smartphones,TV,Games Control,Cloud and Networking equipment.
