hief Minister Basavaraj Bommai announced an additional Rs.5 crore additional grant towards the development of Rajhansghad.
It is a matter of pride that the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj,a true patriot who fought for the protection of the Hindu religion,was unveiled.
Speaking after unveiling the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on the premises of Rajhansghad fort here on Thursday,he said the grant will be used for the construction of a community hall,and a guest house as well as providing basic infrastructure for the visiting tourists.
In 2008,the then CM B.S.Yediyurappa sanctioned Rs.14 crore for the development of Rajhansghad fort development when G.Janardhan Reddy was the Tourism minister.
Thanks to the efforts of MLA Sanjay Patil,the development of the fort took place.The incumbent government will release another Rs.5 crore for the further development of the fort.
The CM said the Rajhansghad Fort is beautiful and it speaks about the past glory and culture of Shivaji Maharaj.The statue had been consecrated to suit his personality.
In the coming days,further development of the fort will be taken up.Shivaji Maharaj got inspiration from his mother Jeejabai and under her guidance,he got to know all kinds of education including war skills.
The great patriot fought selflessly for the protection of the Hindu religion till his death.It was Shivaji who showed how to defeat the big armies of outsiders with self-confidence, bravery, and commitment.He fought many wars for the survival of the country.Shivaji built several forts in different parts of the country.
Earlier,the CM inaugurated the program by beating the ‘Nagaari’.Minister Govind Karjol,MP,Mangala Angadi, MLAs,Ramesh Jarkiholi,Anil Benake,Abhay Patil,and others were present.
