The Siddapura police on Saturday arrested a 20-year-old bike lifter and recovered 12 two wheelers worth Rs.6 lakh from him.
The accused Nitin,a habitual offender would steal bikes parked in front of the houses by breaking the hand locks .
He would then sell the bikes without documents to his contact for throwaway prices and spend the money on vices .
Based on a bike theft complaint,the police analyzed the CCTV footage from in and around and identified and arrested Nitin.
Based on his confession the police recovered the stolen bikes which he had sold it to different people.
