Founder of this organisation herself a renowned kathak artist “Maya Kulshreshtha” she said I belong to a non artists background family so I understand struggle of a young artists, and when we thought to work for Divyang artists thought to promote their work ,talent but that was not enough so we have started “Indradhanush” this is the intiative where we don’t ask for the donation, or crowd funding etc for them we ask for knowledge we are giving them a tool to live their livelihood. In this context president of this foundation “Manish kulshreshtha”added but actually we feel still it’s not sufficient so we have adopted some kids and giving regular traning of Indian arts as a vocational course they will pursue as a vocational training and leter on they will get degree , and diploma.
In this way they will get a beautiful shape we are making some centres in Delhi, UP and Haryana.
There is a seminar too on the “History of Indian Arts” in this seminar some authors, artists added their thoughts,
Manoj Srivastava IAS and Ex Addl. Chief Secretary MP Government -said that
History is the wave of time, the witness of our mortals. Art is the leap towards immortality.
Dr. Shailesh Srivastava – Art is life. Living life is an art, As far as the history of art is concerned, the reality is that history and civilization are the result of arts and artistic life. Merely the history of time has no special meaning. The journey of human civilization itself becomes history. That’s why the history of any animal is not thought of. Only the civilized man and his civilization have a history.
Prof. Ramesh Gaur- Director National School of Drama-Visual art recounts stories of our past, it gives an account of past events. Art history allows us to look back and understand how our civilization evolved over the centuries. It is a way to know ourselves better. Why do we have certain values? What shaped the way we think and our vision of the world.
Renowned theatre actor & Director Sanjay Mehta said – Indian theatre emerged in the 15th century BC. Vedic text such as Rigveda provides evidence of drama plays being enacted during Yagya ceremonies. The dialogues mentioned in the texts range from one person monologues to three person dialogues such as the dialogue between Indra, Indrani and Vrishakapi. For instance, one rigvedic monologue is about a gambler whose life is ruined because of it and has estranged his wife caves dating back to the 3rd century BC and Khandagiri caves from the 2nd century BC are the earliest examples of theatre architecture in India.
Recipient of Sangeet Natak Akademi Sattriya Exponent Dr Ranjumoni Saikia – Assam has a depth history of dance and art, as indicated by copper plate writings and art from the Shaivism and Shaktism traditions. Singing and musical traditions have also been traced back to the Assamese chorus singing tradition for the Hindu epics Ramayana and Mahabharata.
“Maya kulshreshtha kathak artist -History of dance ,as such some artists believe that it’s 2000 years old but whatever I read or experience history of dance as old as human’s life as we have 8 classical dances every classical dance has a different story of origin.
