BJP State President Bandi Sanjay made a strong comment on MLC Kavitha’s dharna in Delhi demanding implementation of women’s reservation. He said that it is not a dharna in Delhi.. People will recognize it only if it is done in Telangana first.
Hyderabad: BJP state president Bandi Sanjay has expressed his concern that women are feeling insecure in Telangana state. He criticized Chief Minister KCR’s behavior as the reason for such situations arising for women in the state. In the state office of the BJP, under the auspices of the Mahila Morcha, initiation was undertaken in the name of ‘Mahila Gosa – BJP Bharosa’. Bandi Sanjay started the initiation as the state president of the party. He then addressed the women who attended the initiation.
“Everywhere in the state, there are reports of rape. A family committed suicide due to harassment by the leader of India. According to NCRB records, rape of women has increased by 17 percent in Telangana. Telangana women are facing difficulties in all matters. Not only the common women but also the women representatives are not protected in the state. Three times (1998, 1999, 2002) the NDA government introduced the Women’s Reservation Bill in Parliament but the opposition blocked it. Everyone should note this. Not even 3 percent of the Telangana cabinet has women ministers. Today, MLC Kavitha and Bharata leaders staged a dharna in Delhi demanding the implementation of women’s reservation. In such a situation Kavitha.. should first question CM KCR. Dharna should be done in front of Pragati Bhavan in Telangana, not in Delhi. Only then will people get a chance to recognize it,” said Bandi Sanjay.
