The Central cyber crime police are on the lookout for a conman who posing as staff of transport commissioner made a futile attempt to cheat job aspirant of vehicle inspector of state transport department.
Based on the complaint filed by,Basavaraju Paraddi, Assistant regional transport officer at the office of the commissioner for transport and road safety,BMTC Complex KH road,Shanthinagara,the police are trying to track down the accused identified himself as Lobo through the IP address .
The cheating came to light when one of the job aspirant approached the commissioner office with the copy of the email she received from the accused for verification.
The email resembles the state transport official mail to the candidate named Harshitha M,congratulating her for becoming motor vehicles inspector soon .
The mail specified her details of the application and assured that the office is working on the details to complete the appointment formalities .
The accused identified himself as Lobo from the commissioner office Bengaluru Shantinagar,asked her to pay Rs.10,000 for the job .
He also said that it is not a force to pay and voluntary . He also asked her to maintain confidentiality and not to share the details of the mail.
We suspected that the accused has linked to some insiders considering the details he has and we are working on it and investigation is on said a senior officer.
