Abhijit Ray,Kolkata:The three of the largest data group companies, have invested thousands of crores of rupees in Bengal in the last 10 years, keeping faith in Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s government. Millions of unemployed people have been employed. State Industries Minister Dr Shashi Panja on Saturday made a similar demand in the Assembly, giving counter-statistics in response to opposition BJP MLAs’ allegations related to Tata Group’s leaving at Singur in the budget debate of the industries department. In the debate on the industrial budget, BJP MLAs alleged that the Tata group left the state from Singur due to the role of the Trinamool Congress, and since then, the country’s leading industrial group has been averse to investing in Bengal. Responding to such allegations, Industries Minister Dr Panja said, “Tata Hitachi, Tata Steel’s Metaliks Division Tata Metalliks, and Tata Consultancy Services – these three well-known companies of the Tata (TATA) group have made huge investments in the last ten years. Millions of jobs have been created. Many industrialists, including the Tatas, have invested in Bengal with confidence in the role of the Mamata Banerjee government. On the other hand, the Tatas did not make any more Nanos from Singur to Sanand in Gujarat. Two-wheelers are produced. The opposition is misleading the people by suppressing the real facts. They are giving negative information about the state, spreading fake news. ’’. “How did two industrialists close to the Prime Minister (PM Modi) Vijay Mallya and Nirav Modi flee the country behind his eyes? Who will answer this question?” asked by Dr Shashi Panja, referring to the “bank loot” of two industrialists close to the current Indian government as both had run away and looted multiple banks, and cornered the BJP in the session and called the Centre a “bech do sarkar”.Quoting George Soares, the state IndustryMinister directly attacked the prime minister. “Are all the deposits made between SBI and Jeevan Bima safe?” he asked the opposition about the two companies in distress by giving loans to industrialists close to the BJP with the help of the Centre.Giving details of the infrastructure and ‘land bank’ that the state has created, the Industries Minister repeatedly explained that the field of investment in Bengal is ready. In the last 11 years, just as the militant movement of workers in Bengal has disappeared, the word strike has been raised in the new industrialization policy of the state government. The land of the Dankuni-Ludhiana route chosen by the central government for the construction of the freight corridor has already been handed over to the state of Delhi. It is now the responsibility of the central government to create it. More than 15,000 km of new roads have been built in Bengal in the last 11 years. BJP’s Ambika Roy, Shikha Chattopadhyay, and Shankar Ghosh attacked the state over the land in Singur. The industries minister made it clear that the policy of Mamata Banerjee on both the occasions of the leader of the opposition and the chief minister is the same, the land will not be taken forcibly. Investors will buy land if needed to do industry. Otherwise, you can also take non-agricultural land from the state’s land bank. But the land cannot be left behind. The monthly allowance of Rs 2,000 given to 3,574 unwilling farmers by the chief minister since 2011 is still going on. ’’.
