Over 25,000 classrooms to be constructed in the next three years: CM Bommai

O ver 25,000 classrooms will be constructed in the next three years across the State,said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Speaking after inaugurating a science laboratory under the Karnataka Model School Guidance program and the new classrooms at Konanakere village in Shiggaon taluk here on Tuesday,he said in his constituency,under public participation,as many as 151 classrooms are being constructed, and in the next three years.500 new classrooms will be built in the taluk.

The government has released Rs.280 crore to construct separate toilets for the boys and girls in all the government schools across the state before August 15.

Under the Atal Tinkering model,grants have been released for the construction of the Tinkering Laboratory.

In the Shiggaon Assembly constituency, 10 PU colleges are sanctioned, and instructions are given to compulsorily teach the science subject.

The CM said in association with Bill & Milind Gates Foundation,the Karnataka Model School Guidance program has been going on in Haveri,Davangere, Tumkur, and Yadgir districts.

A big change has been brought to the field of education and health.In the last two budgets,the health sector has been given 11 percent and the education sector 12 percent of the total budget outlay.

In Association with the Jindal Company,10 schools are academically developed in his constituency.
