The Vivek Nagar police have registered an FIR against BJP leader of BTM constituency after he was caught distributing cookware among the dwellers of Indiragandhi slum in Ejipura on Monday.
Based on the complaint by Jagadisha,Revenue Evaluator of ward No148,Ejipura Sub Division,Assistant Revenue Officer,Koramangala Sub Division BBMP,the police booked Sridhar Reddy KR,
charging him under 171E ( bribery) and 171 F ( undue influence or impersonation at an election) for further investigations.
The accused Reddy BJP leader of BTM constituency along with his associates was busy distributing Nonstic casserole cake Pots to the slum dwellers .
Commotion prevailed when opposition congress party workers reached the spot and had an heated argument before alerting the police.
The police rushed to the spot and alerted Mr. Jagadisha who arrived and confiscated 8 boxes containing 16 cookwares.
The boxes having the photographs and sticker of Reddy with his designation.The police have seized the boxes for further investigations.
The distribution of gifts is to induce the voters for the upcoming elections,Mr.Jagadisha,said in his complaint.
