The Central Division police have cracked 23 cases of house break thefts and chain snatching arrested 11 people involved and recovered valuables worth over Rs. 4 crore .
City police commissioner CH Pratap Reddy lauded the efforts of the police personnel who toiled hard to crack the cases and recovered the stolen valuables. Mr. Reddy also returned the valuables to their rightful owners symbolically.
Among the interesting cases the Ashoknagar police arrested John Shankat and recovered 223 grams of gold valuables and 233 grams of silver articles from him.
The Viveknagar police arrested notorious habitual house break offender Srinivas along with Bhavar Lal who used to receive the stolen properties from Srinivas.
The police have recovered 360 gram of gold valuables and 656 grams of silver articles from him.
Similarly the Halasuru gate police arrested Yaseen Khan and Noorulla and Salman and recovered 1.5 kilograms of gold,four expensive wrist watches and 100 grams of silver articles
from them.
The SJ Park police arrested Nikunj Kumar Bastal and recovered 6.6 kilograms of gold valuables and two wheeler which he used to commit the theft.
The Sheshadripuram police arrested Roopesh Singh who would befriend people on the pretext of sweet talk and rob valuables from people.The police recovered 70 grams of gold valuables worth Rs 3 lakh from him.
