The Rajarajeshwarinagar police on Sunday registered a case against a software engineer who attempted to kill his wife and later tried to end his life at the house on Saturday.
The accused Harsha,a native of Tumakuru married to Sudharani and the duo had a son.Both the couple are software engineer and working in IT firms and earning decent salaries.
According to the police, recently Harsha sold a piece of land at his native and got a huge amount of money.He stopped going to work and addicted to alcoholism.
The wife tried to mend his ways and the couple used to have frequent fights over his issue.On Saturday the couple had an argument which took an ugly turn when Harsha attacked Sudharani and banged her head against the wall.Due to the sudden attack Sudharani collapsed and fell unconscious.
The son who was watching the parents fight rushed out to get help from his relatives staying a little away from home.
Sensing trouble Harsha decided to end life and slashed his wrist.The nieghbours and relatives rushed to the house and found the couple in a pool of blood.
The duo was rushed to a near-by hospital before alerting the police.The Police are now awaiting the recovery of the couple to question them.
