Kodigehalli police Inspector in dock for alleged flirts and misbehaving with woman complainant,report sent to Bengaluru police commissioner

An Inspector attached to Kodigehalli station in the dock for harassing a woman who had come to file a cheating complaint a month ago.

Senior officer told reporters,The victim had visited the station to file a complaint against a man who allegedly cheated her of Rs.15 lakh .

The accused inspector who received the complaint assured to help her and started chatting with her and even sent her gifts.

The accused officer even asked her to come and meet him in person.The lady had claimed in her complaint that after she was called to the police station, the inspector gave her dry fruits and a room’s key.Shocked by this the victim complained to senior police officer who ordered a senior officer of the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police to probe the matter and submit a report.

According to the police, the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) of Yelahanka Sub-Division has submitted the report in this regard to South-East DCP Lakshmi Prasad.

A Detailed probe was conducted and gathered the statements and CCTV footage related to the incident and submitted a report .

The report has been sent to Bengaluru Police Commissioner Pratap Reddy and action is pending against the accused officer said a senior officer.
