The Soladevanahalli police have arrested a gang of seven who have attacked and robbed a group of migrants labourers to rob their valuables on last Sunday.
The accused have been identified as,Shivaraj,31, Kishan,33,Nitesh Kumar,31,Sagar S,27,Manu Jangama, 26,Ranjith Kumar,28 and,Anil Kumar,37.
The Soladevanahalli police have seized a car without registration number plate,two scooters,lethal weapons , six mobile phones and Rs.5,000 from them.
Senior officer told reporters,the gang barged into the house of Monu Goswamy, a labourer from Madhya Pradesh and tile worker by profession living in a rented house near Ananya public school.
Monu was chatting with three of his friends on March 12 when the gang barged into the house attacked them with pepper spray and assaulted before robbing them of their mobile phones and cash Rs.27,000.
The accused locked the inmates in a room and escaped.
Based on the complaint,the police track down the accused and arrested them.The accused confessed that they had committed the robbery to arrange money for alcohol and gambling.
The police have taken them into custody to probe their criminal background.
