Three Notorious Mobile Lifters arrested by Viveknagar police Recovered 113 Mobile Phones worth of Rs.40.3 Lakhs

F ollowing a phone robbery cases reported in November last year, the Viveknagar police busted a gang of three people and recovered 113 mobile phones worth Rs.40.3 lakh from them.

The accused Mohammed Sakhlain,Suhail and Shakeeb used to move around in bikes targetting people walking with phones and rob them.

Senior officer told reporters,During investigation it was revealed that the accused would move around in bikes and targetting people walking with phones near parks and public place and then sell the robbed phones to their contact,a mobile technician from Padaraynapura for throwaway prices and spend the money on vices.

Based on a complaint filed by a private firm employee after losing his expensive phone on 21 November last year,the Viveknagar police kept a tab and track down the accused .

With their arrest the police managed to solve as many as 11 mobile robbery cases reported in central and south east division.

The police are further investigating to ascertain the accused criminal background.
