BMTC driver charred to death cops to probe the case in suspect of suicide angle says cops

Investigations into the mysterious death of a 43-year-old bus conductor who was found charred to death,found the victim had purchased fuel from a near-by petrol pump station hours before the incident.

On March 9,the Byadarahalli police recovered the charred body from the parked BMTC bus at In D group bus station Summanahalli depot.The bus was also burnt from inside

The police began investigations and gathered CCTV footage from in and around.Close analysis of the CCTV footage found that he had purchased fuel in a bottle after paying money through UPI.

Muthaiah had even told the driver Prakash to sleep inside the office while volunteered to sleep in the bus.

The police have collected the receipt from the staff of the bunk for further investigations.

We suspect that Muthiah has closed the windows and doors of the bus before allegedly set it on fire.Due to the impact of the fire few windows of the bus shattered prompting the driver to wake up and rushed to the help.

While the probe so far is inconclusive as we are awaiting FSL and PM report to ascertain the cause of death.The police are probing about the possibility of his extreme step said a senior officer.
