South Western Railway earned total revenue of Rs. 7771 crore from all sources as of March 22,2023, breaking the previous record of Rs.6133 crore for the last fiscal year 2021-22.
For the first time,South Western Railway has achieved a milestone of originating passenger revenue of Rs.2686 crore up to March 22,2023,which is Rs.562 crore (11.10%), higher than the previous best of Rs.2124 crore (registered in 2019-20).
In 2021-22,SWR earned Rs.4189 crore in freight revenue and now we have recorded Rs.4514 crore in this financial year up to March 22,2023, which is 7.75 % higher.
Also sundry revenue of Rs.306 crore was registered against Rs.168 crore during 2021-22.
