We will immediately release Rs. 228 crores
for the compensation of tenant farmers.
The evil government
is asking for its help in the center… Send a report.
We will give one hundred percent of our funds
to the farmers
.

There is no method and no harm in the country. Insurance companies only have insurance that makes a profit. There is no insurance or central government policies to benefit the farmers. The old governments were the same.. the same is the case now.. the situation is like blowing a conch in front of deaf ears. It is useless to tell them. The country needs a new agricultural policy.

Today, Hyderabad, Khammam, Warangal, Mahabubabad, Karimnagar: Farmers whose crops have been damaged due to recent hailstorms in the state have been given immediate relief of Rs. Chief Minister KCR has assured that financial assistance of ten thousand will be provided. He said that compensation would also be given to the farmers among the victims. For this, Rs. 228 crores will be released immediately. On Thursday, he visited Ravinoothala and Garlapadu villages in Bonakallu mandal of Khammam district, Reddykuntathanda, Pocharam, Vaddekottapalli, Bommakal, Adju Rangapuram of Warangal district and Ramadugu mandal of Karimnagar district in Mahabubabad district. He went to the heavily damaged maize, rice, chilli, vegetable crops and mango plantations and inspected the damage himself. Talked to the farmers and heard their grievances. He also saw the display of crops and photos arranged on this occasion. Later he spoke to the reporters. “There is a wicked government at the centre. The central government’s stance on crop losses is like rain on the plough. No help has been received from it for the past nine years. That’s why we don’t want to send a report to the Centre,’ he said. He assured that the crops were damaged by the hail and that they should not be disheartened and disappointed and that their government would support the farmers in all ways.

Huge loss

“Due to the hailstorm, 2,28,258 acres of crops were damaged across the state. 1,29,446 acres of maize, 72,709 acres of paddy, 8,865 acres of mango and 17,238 acres of other crops were damaged. A drama is going on in the country now. If we write and send it to the central government, God knows when the committee will come out..when the report will come out. As if the dogs barked at Arnells who were robbed, no rupees reached Arnells. The present central government is very evil. They have no people except politics.. no farmers. I don’t want to send a report now as a protest because I was not given a rupee for what I sent earlier. God has given economic strength to Telangana so we will protect our farmers hundred percent. Do you know the great fortune given by the central government? According to the central scheme, Rs.3,333 per acre will be given for maize, Rs.5,400 for rice and Rs.7200 for mango plantations. It does not fit any corner.

Farmer welfare schemes are implemented in Telangana which are not found anywhere in the world. Due to this, agriculture is now stable and farmers are coming to a situation where they are settled. They are also getting out of debt. There are still many fools who say that agriculture is evil. Economists are among those who say these words. But we proudly say.. Today Telangana is number one in the country. It developed into an excellent agricultural state. It is a matter of great pride for us. Farmers should not be disappointed in any way.. Government will stand by.

Help like no other in the country

Nowhere in the country has such compensation been announced for farmers. This announcement can be made from Hyderabad. We have come out to share in your troubles and have done field level observation. Along with me, ministers Niranjan Reddy and Dayakar Rao are also doing agriculture. Since we are all farmers ourselves, we have come to you not to fall under the yoke. We have reached a good stage in agricultural growth. We are also achieving better growth in GDP. Right now, the farmers’ faces are looking happy. At the same time, the wind and hail caused damage. Telangana government will surely support the tenants. We will also support tenant farmers as requested by local ministers, public representatives, CPI and CPM leaders.

Don’t despair…

Agriculture is now improving as the state government is supporting the farmers by providing free electricity, free water and cancellation of water dues. That status should not be compromised. Let’s not let this sector be crippled. Do not despair when natural calamities strike. The government is fully supported. Many people call this compensation. But these should be called relief measures. Compensation is something no one in the world can give. Farmers should be given support so that they can recover and start farming. Farmers should move forward with the idea of growing superior crops in the future without worrying about the loss.. like a rubber ball. The CM said that if a farmer told me that he has got good profits from the crops since four or five years.

Telangana has a per capita income of Rs.3,05,000 which is higher than Maharashtra, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. Per capita income will increase only if GSDP increases. Agriculture plays a major role in the growth of GSDP. In some cases this share is 21 percent. The average is up to 16 percent.
