The neighboring country China, which has repeatedly argued that the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh is not a part of India, is now absent from the crucial G-20 meeting held by New Delhi in that state.
Delhi: The G20 secret meeting was held on Saturday and Sunday in the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh. But according to reliable sources, China is away from this meeting. A senior official of the Arunachal state government revealed that Chinese representatives did not attend the meeting.
This meeting (G20 meeting) was held in Itanagar, the capital of Arunachal Pradesh, on Saturday and Sunday. About 100 representatives from G-20 countries participated in this along with Indian officials. However, the official said that not a single representative from China attended the meeting. It seems that this meeting was kept very secret. Media coverage was also not allowed. However, after the meeting, the Arunachal government media representative shared the photos on Twitter.
It is known that China claims that Arunachal Pradesh is a part of Tibet. But India has been denying Dragon’s comments from time to time. It has made it clear to China that Arunachal is its integral part. China’s absence from the G20 meeting in Arunachal has become a topic of discussion. However, neither the Indian Ministry of External Affairs nor China has yet officially responded to this. Moreover, it is not clear whether China has officially raised objections to this meeting or not.
It is known that India is chairing the G-20 group this year. The main conference of G20 (G20) heads of state will be held in Delhi in September. Before that meeting, G20 meetings are being held in 50 major cities across the country on various fields and topics. As a part of this, meetings were held for two days in Itanagar on the topic of ‘Research Innovation Initiative’.
