‘ Rebel star’ Ambareesh had won the hearts of everyone for his straight talks,and his name must remain forever, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Speaking after unveiling a plaque naming the Race Course Road from the Mourya Circle up to Basaveshwara Circle as ‘Rebel Star’ Ambareesh Road here on Monday,Bommai said he has done this in memory of Ambareesh with utmost happiness.
This road was frequently used by the late actor and his fans wanted the road to be named after him. Accordingly,the government has done it.
Ambareesh was a versatile actor known for his natural acting.He had the personality to attract people.
The CM said for Ambareesh,Reel and Real life were the same and were known for straightforwardness.
An achiever in sports,he did many good things for the people after he entered public life and served as Housing Minister.
On the Cauvery issue,Ambareesh resigned from the union minister post.Power came in search of him.
He said “I am very happy today.Ambareesh was my very close friend and his life was like an open book.When I wished to meet him,the actor asked me to come to the Race Course.
His name fits this important road.His family members also agreed.A memorial of Ambareesh will be inaugurated soon”.
Mandya MP Sumalatha Ambareesh,Abhishek Ambareesh,actor Raghavendra Raj Kumar,Karnataka Film Chambers President B.M.Harish,Rockline Venkatesh,Chinnegowda, and others were present.
