The Northeast division police on Sunday conducted a series of raids and recovered goodies including ration, kits,helmets,sports kits and liquors which are meant to distribute among the voters .
Based on a tip off,a team of Yelahanka police raided Hayagriva public school situated in Srinivasapura village under Byatarayanapura assembly constituency and recovered 450 brand new helmets worth Rs.3.6 lakh and 35 cricket sets worth Rs.1.4 lakh.The police also seized 25,000 blankets stored in the school .
In another incident,the police raided a place in Hegde Nagar and arrested Sadiq Pasha distributing ration kits to the people.The police seized 151 ration kits worth Rs.90,000 from him.
Meanwhile the Devanahalli police intercepted a SUV carrying unaccounted cash Rs.1.42 lakh headed towards Chikabbalapura. The vehicle was intercepted during routine check at Pujanahalli toll gate check post .
The police also seized a goods vehicle carrying Rs.6.4 lakh worth liquor packets towards Chikkaballapura from city without any valid documents .
