Karnataka bribery case: BJP MLA Madal Virupakshappa sent to Lokayukta custody till April 1st by Court

Day after dramatic arrest of BJP MLA, Madal Virupakshappa, the Lokayukta police produced him before the court and obtain his five days custody to question him in detail.

Madal made a last attempt to escape the arrest and feign chest pain excuse,while he was subjected for the medical examination on Monday evening,but the doctor debunked his claim and sent him back with Lokayukta police.

Now the Lokayukta police have geared up to question him in detail about the money recovered from his house and also about the bribe money received by his son Prashanth at the cresent road office .

Though Madal obtained anticipatory bail from High court and appeared before the official for questioning or almost a week he did not answer for a single questions posed by the official.

Now since he is in proper custody of the Lokayukta the police will get the required answers from him,sources said.

Sources in the Lokayukta even said that the officials have already gathered enough evidence against Madal during the raid and after raid .

They would question him to corroborate with the evidence,sources added.So far the official have crucial and ample evidence to prosecute Madal and his son from the trap and search and seizure procedure.

Meanwhile another accused Deepak Jadhav,manager of the firm who arranged the bribe money and sent it through two of his employees to deliver the cash to Prashanth,has also obtained Anticipatory bail and likely to appear before the officials for questioning within ten days.

However one week is already over and the officials are waiting for three more days following which they will approach the court for cancellation of bail and he will be arrested.
