hree students pursuing B.Pharma of a Bengaluru based College drowned in Srinivaspur Sagar Reservoir at Chikkaballapur .
Group of 6 students had gone for a trip to Srinivaspura Sagar.Deceased were identified as Puja ,Radhika and Imran.
Senior officer told reporters,Three 21-year-old students pursuing B.Pharma at a private college in Bengaluru drowned in Srinivasa Sagar reservoir in Chikkballapur on Saturday.
The deceased have been identified as Imran,Radhika and Pooja along with three others went for a trip on bikes reached Srinivasa Sagar.
Even though they did not know swimming,the trio ventured into water and started clicking photographs. They are not aware of the water due to the shallowness they trio slipped and drowned.
The other three raised alarm prompting the passers-by to rush to their help.Few villagers jumped into water and pulled out Pooja and others.
Pooja was alive when she was pulled out but by the time she was taken to the hospital but by then it was too late.The doctors after examining declared the trio as brought dead.
The Chikkaballapura rural police have taken up a case of un-natural death and are investigating to ascertain the cause of death.
