lert patrolling team of Cubbon park busted an inter state online booking racket and caught four bookies who are operating the betting racket through cricket buzz app near CTO junction on Queens road on April 11.
The accused bookies hailed from Haryana getting live updates from their associates sitting in the stadium and place the bet accordingly.
Probe revealed that there is around 10 seconds gap between the live match and the relay on TV.The accused utilized the 10 seconds gap get live ball to ball updates from their associates and receive the bets accordingly online.
This will help them to manipulate betting and earn huge sum of profits .
The racket was busted when Kumar KR,ASI and his team found the accused busy operating in the mobiles and confronted them.
A detailed questioning led them to confess to the crime based on which they have been detained and brought to the station .
The accused have been booked under various section of KP act and efforts are on to track down their associates who are operating from different states.
