he women and protection wing staff of Central Crime Branch on Thursday arrested three house-break thieves and recovered two kilos of gold valuables worth rupees one crore from them.
The accused have been identified as Jayanthi,32 from Tamilnadu,Dangal Singh,30 from Gujarat and Amjad,36 from city.
The accused used to operate separately using different modus Operandi.
The accused Jayanthi is habitual offender involved in house break theft cases since 2016 in Hebbal,RT Nagar and Banaswadi and even in Saidapete in Chennai.The accused was arrested and was out on bail to continue her criminal activities .
The accused used to move around the residential area with a baby seeking job of domestic help and watch over locked houses for sometimes, before breaking into it and steal valuables .
The officials recovered finger prints from one of the scene of crime which helped the police to track her down in Tamilnadu.
The police recovered 350 grams of gold valuables from her and solved five house break theft cases with her arrest.
Similarly the accused Amjad,who was involved in a double murder case reported in Bagaluru in 2012 and was on out bail to continue theft robbery and extortion case.
In 2018 the Magadi road police arrested him in an attempt to robbery case and remanded him to judicial custody.
The accused was again out on bail few months ago and started breaking into locked houses to arrange the money for his vices .
The case of Dangal Singh is part of infamous “ Chaddi gang” which operated in Karnataka and Tamilnadu. The accused would wear only chaddis,(underwear) and apply oil on their body to slip away easily in case of any eventuality.
The accused along with his gang would move around the area to identify locked house steal valuables and bury them in isolated places for few days and sleep on the railway platforms to avoid undue attention .
They commit series of theft before returning to their natives and sell the valuables to their contacts.
City police commissioner,CH Pratap Reddy appreciated, Joint CP Crime,Dr SD Sharanappa,DCP Crime-1,Yathish Chandra,and CCB team led by Hajaresh Killedar for cracking 15 cases in total and recovering the valuables for their tireless efforts and meticulous investigation in nabbing the dreaded wanted criminals a suitable reward will be given to whole team he added.
