Rice Pulling Scam in Bengaluru Trio held by CCB and recovered stolen property and cash worth of Rs.2.8 Crore

The CCB officials on Monday arrested a gang of three involved in rice pulling devise cheating case .

The accused Venkataramana,44,Venkatesh,47 and Somashekhar,47 used to lure gullible people by rice pulling devise claiming to have radio active properties and magical powers to attract wealth.

The accused would convince the people and take huge amount of money in advance promised to sell rice pulling devise and escape.

Using similar modus operandi the accused had cheated many people in and around the state and accumulated huge sum of properties including SUVs,gold valuables and cash.

Several cheating complaints filed against the accused in various police stations including in Nanjanagudu, Konanakunte,Madanyakanahalli and Halasurugate police station limits.

Based on the complaint,the CCB officials took over the investigations and track down the accused .

The CCB officials seized three SUVs,gold valuables and Rs.28 lakh cash altogether total worth Rs.2.8 crore from them.

The accused have been taken into custody for further investigations.
