Dr.Thomas (Special Correspondent)

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said the Congress party did not have the moral right to talk before the people.

Addressing a public meeting after Minister Murgesh Nirani filed his nomination papers here on Tuesday, the CM said he is confident that the voters of Bilagi would elect Nirani by a margin of over 50,000 votes in the Assembly election to be held on May 10.

Enthusiasm is a must to win the election for which a big force of party workers is required. Since the workers are in great spirit, the victory of Nirani is cent percent.

A lot of development has been done by the MLA in the constituency and he is seeking the votes by placing the report card before the voters.

Congress cheated people

He challenged the Congress leaders to come and campaign openly.A group of four to five people come in a car and go back.

The Congress government has cheated the people of Bilagi. The previous CM Siddaramaiah had promised on the River Krishna but he was giving a bogus guarantee and the people don’t believe him.

Now he has promised to give 10 kg of rice to each person under the ‘Anna Bhagya’ scheme.

Bogus assurances

Bommai said before 2018,all the families were getting 10 kg of rice but it was cut to 5 kg by the Congress Government. The latest promise has been giving Rs. 2000 and distributing the cards. The Congress leaders are saying this is a bogus promise.

The people would have believed them had they kept Rs. 24,000 crore in the bank to fulfill that promise.Their assurance will continue till the election and later nothing.

The incumbent BJP government has promised Rs 1000 for each working woman and it will be disbursed soon after the Assembly polls.

The CM said nearly 1.20 lakh acres have been irrigated in Bilagi taluk thanks to a lift irrigation scheme implemented by Nirani.

The government has sanctioned all the irrigation projects of the taluk and the people must elect Nirani by a margin of over 50,000 votes for the implementation of all the projects.

By electing Nirani, the people of Bilagi must strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has the aim of a vibrant India.

Ministers Murgesh Nirani and Govind Karjol were present.
