he Girinagar police on Friday arrested a 37-year-old habitual offender within 48 hours of a house break theft reported on Wednesday.
The owner of the house Ms.Yogesh Ural had gone to work after locking the house,when the accused break into the house ransacked the premises and made away with the valuables worth lakhs.
Based on the complaint, the police swung into action and analyzed the technical details and the CCTV footage to identify and track down the accused .
Senior officer told reporters that the accused Manikanta is a habitual offender involved in series of theft cases in and around the city.
The accused hailed from Palakkad town in Dharmapuri district of Tamilnadu used to come to city to recce locked houses and steal valuables .
The accused has been booked under house break theft and taken into custody to ascertain whether he was involved in similar cases .
