Driver hacked to death by armed gang over trivial row in Nandini layout Bengaluru

A 42-year-old driver of a tempo traveler was hacked to death by an armed gang over a trivial row in Nandini Layout on Wednesday night .

The deceased has been identified as Matti Ravi , resident of Laggere.

Senior officer told reporters,the deceased was chased and hacked to death by a armed group in bikes as soon as he ventured out of the house.

Ravi tried to escape but the gang chased him and hacked him to death in front of a hotel in Chowdeshwari Nagar and soon fled the scene.

The profusely bleeding Ravi was taken to the hospital but was declared as brought dead.

The Nandini Layout police rushed to the spot and conducted a detailed probe.Initial investigations revealed that Ravi,also a congress party worker had attended a program organized by a local leader and had a differences with a group who are also from the same party.

The accused could have carried out the attack out on the grudge,the police said adding that the assailant has tore a banner from the scene of crime which had photograph of Ravi along with other party workers .
