A 27-year-old labourer was hacked to death by his neighbour over a row over illicit affair in Singrahalli village in Devanahalli on Wednesday night .
The deceased has been identified as Pradeep , allegedly having an affair with a married woman at his neighbourhood.
The husband of the woman,Venkatesh,a mason by profession had warned Pradeep to Stay away but the accused but he continued to be in touch with the woman even after he had gone to her parents house for delivery.
Venkatesh who got to know about this,called Pradeep on the pretext of talk,and hacked him to death.
Pradeep tried to escape the attack,but Venkatesh along with his friend Nagesh chased and killed by crushing his head with a boulder.
The Vishwanathapura police,launched an investigations and based on the last call made to Pradeep,the police arrested Venkatesh and Nagesh on the charges of murder .
The police recovered the mobile phone of the woman to ascertain the claim made by Venkatesh in his confession that he had killed Pradeep over illicit affair.
