Resolve to give a new touch to Governance;All 34 Cabine berths filled -Chief Minister Siddaramaiah

C hief Minister Siddaramaiah said that all the 34 seats of the cabinet have been filled and we have decided to give a touch to the Governance.

He was speaking to the media after an informal meeting of the Cabinet at Vidhansouda today.

A full-fledged cabinet has been formed in the state. Apart from the Chief Minister,33 posts have also been filled.Allocation of portfolios will be done by today or tomorrow,he said.

Explaining the nature of the Cabinet,the Chief Minister said that the Cabinet is a mix of new and old faces.He said that those who won for the first time were not made ministers.

The government should fulfill the promise we have given.People want change.The Chief Minister said that this cabinet was formed with a view to give a new shape to the administration.

The opposition parties have not fulfilled their promise. We have fulfilled our vows in the past.We will continue to do the same.

It has been instructed to table the details of the five guarantees in the next cabinet meeting.He said that they will be discussed and approved and implemented soon.

Kodagu,Haveri,Hassan,Chikmagalur and other districts did not get representation.

The CM said that some districts are not represented while following certain criteria.For example,both MLAs in Kodagu district are first-timers.Hence it was not possible to provide representation in the cabinet,the CM said.

Responding to the media’s question about Puttarangashetty not accepting the post of Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly,the Chief Minister said that there will always be a sense of satisfaction and dissatisfaction.There is also relief in discontent.I spoke to them last night and clarified that he agreed.
