Four member notorious habitual chain snatchers arrested by Subramanyapura police Stolen valuables worth Rs.3.5 lakhs recovered

The Subramanyapura police on Thursday arrested a gang of four habitual offenders involved in robbing a 29-year-old home maker on may 17.

The accused had confronted Ms.Gayathri from Ittumadu had come from Chittoor along with her two minor children and waiting at the bus stop for her husband to pick her up at around 12 pm.

The accused confronted her and threatened her with dagger and robbed two gold chains weighing 35 grams from her and escaped .

Based on the complaint,the police with the help of CCTV cameras identify the accused identified as Gagan Tyagu,22,Umesh Motte,22,Anand Narasimha,19, Vishal Ravikumar,19,and arrested them.

With their arrest the police have solved three cases and recovered the valuables worth Rs.3.5 lakh from them.

The accused were also involved in three more cases iin and around Shivamogga district.The accused have been taken into custody for further investigations.
