Farmers are suffering losses due to severe delay in weighing the grain in the purchase centers established by the government under various departments.
Farmers’ strike in the centers for months
Rain-soaked bags of grain in Badepalli market
Newstoday, Jadcharla Gramin, Devarakadra Gramin: Farmers are suffering due to severe delay in weighing of grain in the purchase centers set up by the government under various departments. Farmers have been protesting in the centers for weeks but they are not buying grain and the officials and public representatives are not paying attention to the grain donors. At the government procurement center in the cotton market in Jadchar, grain and maize were soaked by rain. Hundreds of quintals of grain were left outside in the purchase centers of Pedadhirala and Kodgal villages and got wet due to rain. Farmers are angry that the bags of grain bought at the center of the cotton market are not being moved for even a month. They are expressing their concern that if the humidity increases and the quality decreases, the farmers have to suffer. Officials say that the monopolist is not sending lorries. A farmer expressed his grief that his 100 sacks of corn were wet in the Badepalli market and the authorities and the ruling class did not care. This is the situation across the district.
Extortion in the name of taru.. :Grain is being purchased through cooperative societies and IKP women’s groups in the district. The purchased grain is registered in the truck sheet and transported to the mills with the help of trucks. After unloading the grain in the lorry, the cooperative and IKP personnel go to the mills and bring the truck sheet and enter the details of the farmers online, but that is not being done. 5 to 6 kg per quintal of grain of the farmers is removed and the truck sheet is kept at the mills. Farmers themselves have to go to the mill to get the truck sheets and register them online. Officials do not care even if they complain that they are extracting taro at the mills. The farmers are having to accept the price as per what they are doing or what the millers have said. However, money is not coming quickly. It has been a month since the grain mills in Devarakadra area have been reached but the money has not been deposited in the accounts of the farmers. Farmer Mohan of Nagaram village cultivated rice in 10 acres. A yield of 661 bags was sold as raga. The rice millers cut 20 quintals in the name of Taruga. Due to depreciation, Mohan suffered a loss of up to Rs.40 thousand. By this we can understand the level of exploitation in the name of Taruga.
Facing severe difficulties..: It has been a month since we were able to bring grain to the market. Bought my grain two weeks ago. Farmers are responsible till the goods are moved. Due to non-movement of grain, there is constant burning. I am suffering from severe problems since a month.

Bags are not being given: So far our village has received only three lorries to transport grain bags. Hundreds of sacks of grain have been lying outside for a month. Seedlings are coming wet with rain. If you give us bags, we will store them in Rythuvedi. Public representatives and officials are neglecting.

240 sacks of paddy: I brought 240 sacks of paddy to the cotton market center a month ago. Bought two weeks ago. It is not moving from here to the mill. They say that the lorries are not coming. Every time it rains, the grain is washed away. Even though they are burning day and night to save it.
