A 46-year-old private firm employee was killed and his wife sustained injuries when they slipped from the moving private board at Kamakshipalya bus stop on Magadi main road on Thursday.
The deceased Umesh LG and his wife Shivamma,38 were waiting for the bus to go to Majestic at the Kamashipalya bus stop and tried to board the private bus. However the driver moved the bus while they are about to get in.
The couple lost balance and came under the moving wheels.The driver along with other passengers rushed the injured couple to a near-by private hospital where Umesh succumbed on Thursday while Shivamma was recovering .
The Kamakshipalya traffic police have booked the driver Gangaraju under death due to negligence.
In another incident,a 33-year-old staff of a brewery company was killed when a speeding goods vehicle knock down his motorcycle on Doddabele junction in Kengeri on Wednesday.
Janardhana was returning home from work when the goods vehicle drove in rash and negligent manner knocked down the motorcycle.
The injured Janardhana was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries later.
The Kengeri traffic police have registered a case of death due to negligence against goods vehicle driver and are investigating .
