Free Bus Travel:“Shakthi”scheme to be launched across the State;CM directs MLAs and District Ministers to launch the scheme in their jurisdiction

Scheme covers 50 percent of the population

Chief Minister has decided to launch “Shakti”,free bus travel scheme for women,who amount to the 50 per cent of the population on June 11,2023.

This is the first of the five guarantee schemes announced in Congress Manifesto,to be launched for the people of Karnataka.

Shakti scheme has brought a relief to the women of the State,who are in distress due to price hike and inflation.

The State Government is implementing all guarantee schemes within a month of coming to power,despite the fact that it requires huge fund mobilisation.

Chief Minister has directed Ministers and legislators to ensure that the Shakti scheme reaches out to all eligible beneficiaries,beyond all caste,religion and class.

District in charge Ministers will be appointed soon and all district ministers shall plunge into action to make the launch of the scheme meaningful,said Chief Minister.

Chief Minister will launch the scheme in Bengaluru and simultaneously the ministers and legislators should launch the scheme in their respective district and constituency,he said.
