The Kodigehalli police on Sunday booked a case against president of Pro-Kannada organization for manhandling police personnel and creating nuisance at the station after he was brought to the station for staging violent protest in front of a hotel over Urdu advertisement on the hotel board .
The accused identified as Ramesh Gowda,President of Karnataka Rakshana Sene has been booked under Assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty and criminal intimidation .
Senior officer told reporters,Koushik NV,Police Sub Inspector who is the complainant in the case,said that he rushed to the star hotel following a message from his colleague seeking back up .
After reaching the spot Mr.Koushik noticed that Ramesh and his associates protesting and creating ruckus in front of the hotel protesting against board written in Urdu and also threatening police that he will get them out of their job.
Ramesh later manhandled the police when he was confronted and the police with great difficulty bundled him into the station.
At the station,Ramesh Gowda allegedly created nuisance by throwing the things around and fell on the ground .
The police have to inform their seniors and later arrested him charging him under section 353 and section 506 of IPC.
