Student manhandled Conductor & Punched PSI at station over Bus Pass Row arrested by Peenya Police

T he Peenya police on Wednesday registered a case against a 19-year-old student for allegedly assaulting a BMTC conductor over a row over bus pass and later assaulting the police officer while he was taken to the station on Wednesday .

Based on the complaint by Ashok M Eranna,the police charged the accused identified as Mounesh under assaulting public servant on duty and criminal intimidation.

In his complaint,Ashok said that the accused boarded the bus at Gangamma circle and told the conductor that he had a student pass .

When the conductor asked him to show the I-card for more clarity,he started abusing him verbally and created ruckus.

The accused even went to the driver when he tried to intervene and pull the steering to disrupt the driver.Due to this the bus was stopped in the middle of the road causing inconvenience to passengers and motorists.

The other passengers came to the rescue and advise to take the bus to the station.When the bus reached the station Mounesh jumped out and tried to escape but he was chased and caught by the people and handed him over to the station.

The commotion continued even at the station when family members of Mounesh rushed to the station and created ruckus and even allegedly assaulted a Police Sub Inspector,Siddu Hoogar.

The police said that conductor found the Pass was not valid and asked him to take the ticket,which led to the commotion,a senior officer,said.
