Abhijit Ray, Kolkata:-Law and order has completely collapsed at Manipur , admits Union Minister RK Ranjan Singh. His residence in Manipur was set on fire by miscreants late on Thursday night. After this, the Union Minister of State for Home affairs got angry and blamed the BJP government for the unrest in the state. On Thursday night, around 1,200 miscreants hurled petrol bombs at the Union minister’s house and set it on fire.Fresh violence broke out in Manipur since Wednesday. Soon after the death of 11 people, many miscreants attacked Ranjan Singh’s house. Despite the deployment of security personnel, the miscreants could not be stopped. They hurled petrol bombs from all sides. The minister’s residence caught on fire. However, the union minister was not at home at the time of the incident. Earlier, his residence was also attacked on last month.After the attack, the Union Minister of State for Education expressed anger at the BJP government in Manipur. Speaking to the media, he said, “I am shocked by the whole incident. The law-and-order situation in Manipur has completely collapsed. The house of Manipur’s only woman minister Nemcha Kigpen was also attacked on Wednesday and her residence was also set on fire. As a result, the question is, if the homes of high-profile personalities like ministers are not protected, then what is the condition of the common man?Curfew was imposed across the state soon after unrest broke out in Manipur. Union Home Minister Amit Shah himself went to the state and tried to control the situation. Though the unrest has subsided temporarily, violence is spreading again in Manipur. According to sources, the demand for the partition of Manipur is being raised within the ruling BJP in the state. The Opposition also demanded that immediate action be taken to stop the violence in Manipur. This time, the BJP minister himself took a dig at the Manipur government.
