District wise food processing units

“We will set up rice bran oil producing mills in connection with the new rice mills to be established. This oil has a good demand in the global market. We will build more warehouses in connection with these mills for the grain production reserves which are increasing day by day. It is the responsibility of the government to ensure that the crop grown under the government’s welfare schemes and incentives is not wasted, without deterioration and without loss of price. The Department of Civil Supplies will undertake a program to make farmers rich by marketing the rice crop. To this extent, we are setting up district-wise food processing units to convert the grain into various types of products to ensure that the farmers’ crops get an open market price. We are going to set up rice mills with the most advanced technology that can process 120 tonnes of rice per hour in every district.”

Pushing Punjab back..

“The activity implemented in the last nine years in the face of difficulties is giving revolutionary results. Today, the production of rice grain in the state has reached more than 3 crore tonnes, leaving states like Punjab behind. In a few days, the projects like Palamuru Uttipipthala in the joint Palamuru district, Brahmanavellemla in Nalgonda district, Dindi, Gauravelli in Siddipet, Sitarama in Khammam district, Sirisilla Malkapeta, Umamaheswara in Acchampeta will be completed. Then the grain yield increases further. There is a need to increase the rice grain milling capacity, which is increasing beyond expectations. At present, the capacity of rice mills in the state to convert paddy into rice through CMR milling is not more than 75 lakh tonnes. The reserves of paddy harvested by Telangana farmers are accumulating in the mill. With high storage there is no room for later harvest. For a ripe crop, Due to the huge difference in the capacity of rice mills, farmers are facing difficulties. The CM explained that the government has taken these decisions to get out of this situation.

Meeting with representatives of Satek organization on Friday
