IIT Kharagpur student’s death triggers outrage at Kharagpur of West Bengal

Abhijit Ray, Kolkata:– A student of IIT Kharagpur studenthas dies on Wednesday late night.  After Assam, again a student from Kerala has died at a reputed educational institution in the state. A student fell ill at Radhakrishnan Hall late on Wednesday night. Lose consciousness. He was rescued by his classmates and rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. The incident has created a sensation. Initially, it is believed that he has suffered a heart attack. An autopsy will be conducted today to ascertain the exact cause of death.The deceased has been identified as Surya Dipan GS. He hails from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. He had reportedly come to Kharagpur on May 29 to attend a special course of summer vacation internship. His sudden death has caused a lot of noise. According to sources in the educational institution, Dipan suddenly lost consciousness at Radhakrishnan Hall on Wednesday night. He was rescued and taken to the local BC Roy Hospital. Doctors initially said he died of a heart attack.IIT Kharagpur authorities had come under severe criticism from the High Court over the death of a student from Assam. In the meantime, the pressure on them has increased again due to the death of a student from a foreign state. In such a situation, they have virtually put a lid on their face. According to sources, most of the halls of the company do not have AC. As a result, the student is believed to have suffered a heart attack in the scorching heat.Earlier too, an alien student had died at IIT Kharagpur. The waters of which have flowed in court. Decomposed body recovered from Lala Lajpat Rai hostel. The deceased has been identified as Faizan Ahmed. He hails from Tinsukia in Assam. He was a third year mechanical engineering student at IIT Kharagpur. He stayed at IIT’s Rajendra Prasad Hall for a long time. A few days ago, he changed the hostel with a friend.Lala Lajpat Rai came in. On Friday morning, the students in the room next to Faizan were reportedly smelling foul smell. Suspecting it, they informed the warden of the hostel. The student’s body was then recovered. The victim’s family had moved the court seeking a CID-SIT probe into the incident. The hearing is going on in the High Court.
