he RT nagar police on Wednesday arrested a 22-year-old habitual offender for assaulting a security guard with a knife slashing his face..
The accused has been identified as,Thousif was habitual offender having a history of assaulting four security guards before.
The accused according to the police having six cases of criminal cases had ventured into the lane where Albert was guarding the lane near former chief minister Basavaraj Bommai’s residence in MLA layout on June 18 and attacked him..
The accused had come to commit some theft and confronted Albert who questioned him.
Enraged Thousif slashed Albert cheek with a knife to scare him and escaped.
The police found CCTV footage and tracked him down.
The accused was taken into custody to ascertain his criminal background.
