Graduation Parade Of Technical Officers Held At Air Force Technical College Bengaluru

To mark the successful culmination of 74 weeks of training, a ceremonial Passing Out Parade(POP) of 210/22T/Permanent Commission & Short Service Commission/100th Aeronautical Engineering Course was held on 23 June 2023 at Air Force Technical College Bengaluru.

A total of 71 Engineering Officers including 19 women officers passed out from the College with flying colours.

Air Marshal Vibhas Pande,Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief,Maintenance Command,IAF was the Reviewing Officer (RO) for the event.

On arrival,the Reviewing Officer was received by Air Commodore Ratnesh Gupta,Commandant Air Force Technical College Bengaluru.

The parade was marked by a spectacular flypast by Dornier aircraft,Mi-17 helicopters,Su-30 MKI fighter,and mesmerizing Sky diving demonstration by ‘Air Devils’ team of Indian Air Force.

The ‘Air Warrior Drill Team’ (AWDT) presented a dazzling performance to the audience.

Later,the Air Officer addressed the august gathering and congratulated the graduating officers.In his address,the Air Marshal reminded the young officers of the vital role of maintenance engineers as the pillars of aerospace safety in IAF.

The Air Marshal emphasized that sustaining high serviceability of vast and varied inventory is a challenging task.

IAF being a transforming force, the young engineers have to be extremely conscious of the future operational,technological and maintenance challenges by focusing on high reliability,maintainability and potency of our assets.

He stirred up the spirit of young officers to keep themselves updated and come out with innovative ideas and maintain immaculate professionalism in their fields.

The RO awarded the trophies and medallions to the officers who excelled in the course.The prestigious ‘Sword of Honour’ for first in order of Merit was awarded to Flying Officer Ashish Kaushik and the ‘President’s Plaque’ for the best officer in professional subjects was awarded to Flying Officer Jyotsna Pandit.

The Chief of Air Staff Medals for being first in the order of merit in Electronics and Mechanical Streams were awarded to Flying Officer Agrim Dhingra and Flying Officer Archit Yadavr espectively.
